2 disc set at Target though its only a 25 minute interview with some rehash from the 1disc extras. so not sure if its worth the 22 dollar price. Walmart is selling it for 20 but bundled with the PC movie game.

I've been off on keeping up with movies lately, so I was surprised to see TMNT already released on shelves when I was at my local Walmart today. I came close to buying it too, but then held off on it because I wasn't sure if there were other editions also released with the regular one. Has an extended edition been confirmed yet? TMNT just seems like too big of a property for any studio to pass up on double dipping for.

I would imagine an extended edition will come if the sales are good for the standard edition.

I got the 2 disc one from Target and at the very least it has better box art on the cardboard than the 1 disc one had. Same DVD cover on the plastic box though. The documentary wasn't all that interesting. No Peter Laird present though he was menionted a few times.

Quite a few extras on the standard disc though so that's nice.

I'm going to by this dvd, and if we get an extended cut then I'll buy that too.

If everyone skips this dvd because they're assuming an extended cut is going to be released...then the dvds won't sell well and it's likely that we won't get a sequel because of that.

Picked up the Blu-Ray version. Sad too say, yet happy at the same time, that it looks ten times cleaner and sharper than Superman Returns :).

I tried too post a screenshot, but the Power DVD Ultra option is mysteriously missing, and so far I didn't get print screen too work..

Does anyone have a picture of the Canadian Bilingual cover art for this release? I'm curious as to what it looks like. Since I got mine fo Amazon.com mine has the regular cover art. I am really glad to get this and it really stirs up nostalgia for the older movies (not the 1980s cartoon however). I think they did a really great job with this cartoon from start to finish. I believe a Canadian is even responsible directed this.

Well, just watched it in Blu-Ray....

Raph/Leo fight most detailed in the movie. So many new things I missed on the 30 year old movie screen I saw it on in March...theaters really need too upgrade, otherwise there is no need for them anymore...

I STILL don't care for Karai's voice. Either English is not her first language, she didn't understand the character, or something, because she could not complete an entire sentence without stalling, or doing the Shatneresque dramatic pause... 'The Foot.......CLAN.....isnotwithout...honor. ' I personally wish she would be replaced by a real Japanese actress in a sequal if one is too come.

I think Gellar made a pretty good April, Mako(once he stopped his similair stuttering with Splinter) was my favorite voice of the movie. The turtle voice actors deserved top billing in the movie though....I understand that Studios stupidly think that people care if big name actors are cast in CGI movies, but I would wager that most people hardly notice...

Patrick Stewart is hard too miss, however :). It was also nice too see Jim Cummings in a new TMNT version, although I wish he had an excuse too do a Leatherhead Esque voice in this one.. :)..

Interesting too note that Tara Strong and Billy West where also in it via the credits..

Zhang Ziyi is too bankable to be replaced.

i still haven't picked up my copy yet. i'm waiting for the hong kong 2 disc set. i heard Panorama is releasing several special editions of the DVD. One set includes a set of 4 magnets and the other special edition will be a glow-in-the-dark dvd cover. They also gave it the better cover art and the hong kong release of the DVD will include an English DTS-es audio track.

For those expecting an extended cut of this, I have to ask why. We still have flipper disc versions of the live action films. If WHV thought that the TMNT license was big enough, I'm sure we would've seen those films re-released on DVD in better quality, but we haven't.

WHV doesn't own the live-action movies, New Line does. How can WHV release HD versions of something THEY DON'T EVEN OWN?

As for why people think this is gettiing an extended cut, it's because it's been confirmed by the people working on the movie (along with the people at that one con that saw the full version early) that half of the footage was cut out for one reason or another, mostly so the movie could be shortened down to an hour and a half.

...Please don't tell me that super-happy cover is what's on the DVD instead of the darker movie poster...

I mean, just look at Donatello's hand! It's like a frog's!

Warner owns New Line.

Batman Forever has been confirmed by people who worked on the movie that there was a ton of footage cut. Where's the extended edition for that?

Just because footage was cut doesn't mean it's coming.
