TMNT - Begining of the end...

Wow, it doesn't seem like it's been 6 years already.

2003 : Down the shore with my dog on a week vacation from work. Snow outside, about 2 inches of snow on the ground which is rare for the Jersey shore. Just walked in the front door with enough time to spare.

Turn on Channel 5, then the Fox Box, and saw the 24 style count down. 3 seconds, 2 seconds, 1 second....

I have to say it took a while to get used to the new designs, but I watched the first episode 3 times that day....and I've been with the show ever since. In honor of that, if it really does end with BTTs, I'm heading down the shore again till next Saturday to see it all through ;o)...

What are your memories of the show? Never thought I'd say I would live to see TWO GOOD animated turtle series from start to finish :). I always thought the 1987 series would be it..

It does feel like the show went by so fast. I remember being surprised a new TMNT series was going to be made, I couldn't believe they would be back.

I was also surprised on how good it was. 4kids actually put effort into the show and it showed, I remember when it first started in 2003 people said, "TMNT is the only thing worth watching on 4kids block" and it was quite funny.

Yeah, it had a great run and I even enjoyed FF, but its a damn shame its not getting a proper conclusion.

I blame Playmates most of all, then 4kids, then Playmates, then Alfred Kahn, because we all know he is the devil.

Whats the deal with everyone making posts like this ? NOTHING has been confirmed. We have the DTV,the rest of BTS and a show thats a literal ratings success. If the toys aren't doing well, Playmates will likely commission another version and 4Kids will make it awesome.

I mean 4Kids even did a good job with Fast Forward by the end.

I really viewed the end of the Ninja Tribunal season as the end of the show. Everything in Fast Forward and Back To The Sewer are just bonus episodes to me. I honestly thought that the Back To The Sewer season wasn't gonna happen and the turtles would just have to spend eternity in the future.

There's nothing much to say about the show except that it was filled with so much awesomesauce Chuck Norris would be jealous.

Awesome fight scenes that were long and nicely choreographed, memorable characters, fluid animation, unique cinematography that had a lot of attention to detail, a larger than life universe featuring numerous characters and wonderfully developed and intertwining story arcs, comic book crossovers, lots of rewatchability, a plethora of cool gadgets, weapons, and vehicles, occasional instances of mature storytelling and realistic violence, a perfect blend of sci-fi, action, comedy, and traditional Japanese elements, long reaching continuity. This show had everything I ever wanted in a cartoon and more. If I ever get the chance to work on a cartoon I could only dream it would be half as good as TMNT.

LOL! "Awesomesauce"? I am now going to use that word for the rest of my life.

TMNT 2K3 was the freakin' sickness! SHELL YEAH!!! :D
