TMNT: Back to the Sewers Pre-talkback

Raptar's new mask looks sentai-esque, while the flames on Nobody's gloves and boots are a superfluous tweak. Ananda and Nano are probably the best of the redesigns.

Does anyone else wonder why the writers HAVE to make another superhero or Turtle Titan episode every season?

Even the Ninja Tribunal arc and Fast Forward had a Turtle Titan episode.

Its like there's some unwritten rule by some writer who says, "THERE MUST BE A TURTLE TITAN EPISODE IN EVERY SEASON, DAMMIT!"

I mean I generally don't mind these episodes most of the time, but sheesh.

I doubt that since Serling is the new Turtles X he is Cody's main defense now that the Turtles have returned him, him being pulled in with the turtles leaves Cody defenseless. Maybe Dunn and Viral are working together and Serling was pulled in to leave Cody unprotected?

Anyway yeah it does seem that every season needs a super hero episode doesn't it. Then again i don't remember if season four had one.

Oh yeah, I forgot all about ol' Dunn. I really, really hope they wrap up the Dunn/Dark Turtles storyline this season...or at least do something with it.

Wow, I'm impressed.

Most of the Justice Force look badazz. Especially Silver Sentry, Nano and Chrysalis. Her new wings are awesome.

The only designs I'm not really feeling are Ananda's and Raptar's. Ananda's design looks kind of plain compared to the others; it looks like she's just wearing street clothes, and Raptar's cowl looks more bug-like than bird-like. But other than that, nice job.

Even Turtle Titan looks pretty good...for Turtle Titan, anyway.

Metal Head is missing:

I'm curious to seeing Amanda's Dome bot redesign.

Does anyone know if 4kids plans to stream BTTS episodes on their site?

I don't think I'll be able to watch this season now, I missed the first ep.

I'm not sure, but I hope that they'll be able to do that soon. I didn't see the first episode either, but I would like to watch the new season. I just couldn't miss Pokemon, regardless of how cool the new designs look like and the interesting storyline for the new season.

Doesn't CN always rerun the previous Pokemon episode at 9am the next Saturday? Even so, you could skip an ep of Pokemon and just watch it on Saturday's at 9am instead of 9:30. Aren't they still doing that?

I missed TMNT because when I woke up it was already 9:45, and I was pissed that I missed the whole beginning so I didn't want to just turn it on when half of it was over. Hopefully I can watch the ep online somewhere before next Saturday...I've checked youtube but to no success so far.

Miiiiight wanna edit the last part of your post there, Cyber.

I believe it's been said that 4Kids updates their website with the week's episodes on Mondays, so you should be able to watch it there, I'd imagine.

I haven't watched the Fast Foward season but I decided to watch BTTS this morning anyway. It was fun, even if I didn't know the backstory to the villian and what not.

They are still running the repeats of Pokemon at 9am, but I just didn't want to wait another week to see what happened with May coming back and all. Hopefully PC2 is right with 4Kids updating their website on Mondays so we could watch the first episode then instead. That's what I'm planning on doing at least for this season until its moved to a different time slot.

my bigger question is this who is the utrom shredder as if it was karai it would have had an fem appearance

Not to mention both cartoons changed their animation styles like 3 times.

There's 2k3, FF, and now Back to the Sewers, three different animation styles.

The original cartoon had the Season 1 TOEI animation, then the Season 2-7 animation (of various animation quality of course), and then the darker red sky Seasons 8-10.

I don't see the problem either. I barely remember watching the first TMNT series, but I remember enough to know that the designs for the characters in both series are pretty different. Of course, they probably keep some similarities, such as their poses, but I wouldn't say that they're so similar that the new designs are lazy and uncreative.

Even if the tone never returns to that of the old series, fans should definitely be pleased that the "dark series" lasted 127 episodes. That's a spectacular run, especially for an animated series nowadays when most don't even go past 52.
