Episode 7.01 Tempus Fugit
Original air date: September 13, 2008
Written by Eric Basart

After nine months of doubts, scares, hype, reruns, and more doubts, the next phase of the Ninja Turtles saga is finally here. The turtles return home from the future, only to find it not quite as they left it; it is now one year after they left. What has everyone done in the interim, and how will it affect them?

Previously on Fast Forward: When Sh’Okanabo and Viral take over the moon as part of their opening gambit for world domination, President Bishop recruits the turtles and Splinter to stop him. With some assistance from Cody and Serling, the turtles manage to slay Sh’Okanabo, “decompile” Viral, and save the Earth.

This week, on Back to the Sewer: With Cody's Time Window repaired, the turtles are now ready to go home. However, the trip is complicated by the interence of a not-quite-deleted Viral, who will attempt anything in her power to make sure the turtles don't get to their time, or any time at all... Plus! A new Shredder!

Notes: Yes, I know the pic up there is for the old series; Photobucket is being a ***** and I don't have the patience to make a new one. If anybody could make one, I would appreciate it.
ETA: Thanks, Duke and D Dubbs!

Ech, not a fan of Mikey having center stage in that banner. Makes the show look like Ren and Stimpy or something. :p

I'm wondering how much time the episode is going to give us to say goodbye to the Fast Forward characters. Will we see Starlee? Biggles? Even Dunn? I'm interested.

Based on what I've seen in preview clips this season seems promising. The new animation style works nicely in motion, I just hope the writing holds up.

9:30?! That's a joke considering that my CW sucks. It really kept the schedule correct when it was the old Kids WB.

I missed TMNT:Back to the Sewers so now I blame my CW station for trying to be all early in the morning with their shows just like my ABC Kids which starts it's schedule from 5-6AM and then 7-8AM and then continues on from 9-11AM.

My CW goes from 5-10AM when the stuff like TMNT: Back to the Sewers thrown in the 5-7AM time slots.

So what did I miss?

well they did not use the new op which almost made me stop recording

and from the commercial bumps 4Kids has fully absorbs KidsWB

It's just started, but we do have one more episode of Fast Forward. They have used the new animation that will be in Back to the Sewer, but since the episode stared Serling and Viral, they kept the Fast Forward intro. Expect a new intro next week.

They did have the new intro, but at the end of the ep. Nice seeing 3 Shredders go at it. Utrom Shredder, Tengu Shredder, and Viral Shredder. I wonder what Karai has to say about Viral stealing the Shredder title from her.

So wait Viral is the third Shredder?

I gotta say didn't saw that coming. I take it Ultrom Shredder must have made back up of his memories and that was the program that took over Viral.

And if that future was any indication we gonna have Triple Threat Match with 3 Shredder later on in the season:evil: . Funny I thought Tengu Shredder was dead? Then again he is a Shredder, they don't stay dead for too long.

I kind of figured the same thing, that somehow Utrom Shredder backed up his self and boom, that's how he took over Viral. But that doesn't make any sense since anything in the turtles 2nd layer got Destroyed when Karai invaded....and Utrom Shredder never knew where their layer was in the first place.

I'd be interested in knowing the exposition on how Utrom Shredder and Demon Shredder returns. Demon Shredder must be weekend for any of the others to stand any kind of chance.

I also love the fact that Viral didn't know she was Shredder #3 when she saw him ;)...

I wasn't expecting Viral to go to the past with the Turtles. Heck, I wasn't expecting Serling and his Turtle X form either, despite them being the most popular thing from Fast Forward. I have to admit that Splinter is still the genius when it comes to out thinking enemies. None of the Turtles would have thought of using the enemies force against one of their own. Viral sending the Turtles to the pre-historic age and then the midevil times was cool. It was a shame that Splinter was de-virtualized at the end of the episode, but I doubt we've seen the last of him. I'm also not surprised that Viral has found a way in the persent to rebuild herself. I only hope that Back to the Sewer can manage maintain my interest.

Should be on 4kids.tv sometime or other. I don't know how long it takes them to add new episodes.

Oh, and the Fast Forward intro took me for a loop to. IT was taping up stairs, and I watched down stairs on the bigger TV. I almost went up to stop the recording, but figured...hmm, better wait a bit. The ending at the end was a nice touch..
