This has been going on for a good month now and can't be tolerated anymore. Both MPIX HD and TMN HD are plagued with constant audio drop outs.

This is not the same type of audio dropouts experienced on networks where all you need to do is push the skip back button (8 seconds) and it's gone --> no, this is the nasty kind of audio drop out that no matter how many times you rewind, it's still there. It's gotten so bad and so frequent that I keep the subtitles on all the time rather then turn them on and off when needed (happens to often). Having those subtitles impair the picture and is robbing me of the enjoyment of watching the movies/shows. I was going to watch the James Bond marathon this month but deleted the 2 movies from last night + all timers for them this week.

They either fix this soon or I'm out and will buy HDM movies and download the odd series on bittorents. At 20$ a month for a premium service which they dont even offer the 2nd MMORE HD channel, this is completely unacceptable. Fix it or I cancel it.

I turned off 'From Russia with Love' last night because of this problem.

I was really looking forward to watching some old Bond in HD and 5.1 and this audio problem is VERY disappointing.
 
I've reported this problem over at the Bell's tech site twice now over the last few weeks. No reply, no acknowledgment, nothing.

Suggest you contact Astral. They have always been good about issues. They want their customers (who are paying premium prices) to have a quality experience.

A well-worded, polite e-mail or phone call will always get results from them. In your e-mail you can tell them that their customers at Rogers don't have the issue. This will allow the technicians to work with BEV.

If the problem is as bad as you say, Astral will be able to duplicate it at their end - they have Rogers and BEV STBs and a 100" screen to check for problems. Try to tell them exactly which programme and what times the problem occurred.

Since I was'nt able to watch the first 8 movies, for now, I will only watch Casino Royale (both original and remake) this Saturday. I'll wait for the Marathon on New Years day for the others.

Are you kidding me? It's every movie, and every program this past month.

Obviously, I don't watch every movie but, from the programs, Stargate Atlantis, Dexter & Brotherhood never fail to be crippled with audio drop outs (especially this past month).

Frequency --> anywhere from 3 times a minute to once every 3 minutes.

It's really not going to be hard for them to see the problem (or should I say hear the problem).

Then it should be easy for them to track down. Does this also happen on the analogue audio outputs of the STB?
 
Maybe someone else can answer this one as I have my 9200 connected with optical to the receiver and with HDMI directly to the HDTV for video.

The HDMI connection going directly to the HDTV also gives out audio but I have the audio on the HDTV turned off... even then, that audio would still qualify as "digital" since it comes from the HDMI connection.
 
I'm watching The Spy who Loved Me on MPIXHD and still hearing the Audio dropouts. Not quite as bad as before, but still there. Prior to tonight however, I could see the dropouts on my audio receiver LED display as well, but I don't see that now.
