Title'ing first bike?

okay i am doing a partial trade, my car plus 23 hundred for this guys 07 gsxr.
He said the title is in '03 though due to a chrome frame swap.
Well the bike looks great a red flag just went up in my head...
Plus, i have only owned one vehicle so i am new to the whole process. Does the guy need to come with me to the DMV?
What is the process to transfer the title and get is registered, tagged up and stuff??
PS i live in florida...
 
I personally would not mess with any motor vehicle with that kind of modification. It will most likely cause problems and this also makes it easier on the seller to hide the bikes faults. If it had like higher grip tires, exhaust or suspension changes will not effect the title. Chassis and engine swaps will.
