Titanic: Special Edition DVD is now available to pre-order. It will be released on the 24th October, and there will be two difefrent editions. The 2 disc edition includes:

Remastered feature with awesome Dolby Digital 6.1 Surround sound!

4 audio commentary tracks

Alternative ending

Behind the scenes footage

'My Heart Will go On' music video from Celine Dion

The 4 disc edition includes all that, and also:

Deleted scenes

'Making Of' documentary including research, pre-production and post-production featurettes

Alternate ending lol what will that be

Maybe Titanic wont sink and will sail into New York on the Tuesday as scheduled

I suppose the alternate ending will be something to do with the love story between Jack and Rose maybe Rose dies as well or something like that
 
been waiting for this for a while - its a film that lenRAB itself to extras, background etc.

despite its detractors, i think its an amazing piece of cinema - and i despite some ropey dialogue i think that in some part has to be down to kate and leo!

I hate this film although I will just have to buy the 4 disc set. NO idea why, I just have to.

I might hide it though, can't admit having it!
 
that would surely need a different start and a different ending.

quite a rewrite, seeing as the bookenRAB revolves around the brooch. maybe its just something slightly different to the dream sequence - although i thought that worked really well - as both a dream sequence, device to tell us rose had died, and also as a theatrical curtain call for leo and kate.

There's been a bit of noise about this DVD release already, and the word is that Paramount / Fox had decided against separate 2 and 4 disc sets. Instead there will be a 3 disc and 4 disc set, both of which are identical except the 4 disc one has the CD sountrack in it too. The film will be spread across 2 discs, which also have the deleted scenes and little documentaries on them, while the 3rd is more extras. More info on the ever-reliable Digital Bits, and the official studios' Titanic DVD website is here (though stuff all on it at the moment).

That said, that post was nearly 3 weeks ago and there has been no update from Amazon or Play. The above definitely applies to the US, and the word was Europe too, but maybe this isn't right?
 
I hope it be available to rent on dvd. I cant wait for this to come out, ill ask for it for my birthday, even though it is earlier then the release date :cry:.

I think i might know what one of the featuretts will be, The Last Mysteries of Titanic it was on one of the discovery channels last week, they will add it on the 2 disc set and 4 disc set without adoubt.
 
I hope one disc isn't the soundtrack as I already have it....




It took me ages to realise the end section was an allegory for her death. AGES. :)
