Titanic 2

It's not a sequel.

Is this really a sequel to Titanic (1997)?
No, at least not officially. This film is the newest example of a "mockbuster" made by the modern low budget production company "The Asylum," known for producing cheap, shot on video, knock-oRAB of successful (and on some occasions, not-so-successful) big budget Hollywood films.

It's got nothing to do with James Cameron's film. It's basically a plot like this

A ship is build with the same design and structure as the titanic and they call it the titanic 2. They decide to launch the ship for it's maiden voyage on the same date the original titanic did. But of course, disaster strikes and the titanic 2 begins to suffer the same fate as the original.

So it's got nothing to do with the James Cameron film at all. Not even a little. It's just the name of the ship in the film. I suppose you could use the logic that it's same in the same "world" as the JC film but it's not really lol.

Edit : You can see the trailer here "http://www.theasylum.cc/"

Well we all knew what was going to happen with JC's titanic as well. It was gonna sink on way or another. This is completely fictional though so I suppose there is a chance of a big hollywood ending where the ship is saved or whatnot. Dunno, I didn't make it :D

you can't make another film based on a true story unless you want to start medling with it ,in which case like bond films you know whats going to happen more or less

It's called Titanic 2 simply because the ship in the movie is called Titanic 2 and that's what the movie is about. Nowt to do with JC's 1997 movie.
