'tis the season to be greedy!

If you think it is a season of sadness and greed, why not make it a season of joy and giving instead of complaining about everyone else? You can't change the world, but you can change yourself and Christmas for needy families.

Google:

Salvation Army
Toys for Tots
Childs Play Charity www.childsplaycharity.org is a group of gamers that gives games and stuff to hospitalized children.
GB Angels is an EBAY group that gives gifts to needy families.

Whining instead of helping is a sad characteristic to have.

I'm with Bathory, actually. For the past 3 years, I've bluntly stated that I wish to forgo the exchange of gifts. They get me something anyway, though.

I too want to forgo the exchange of gifts, though not just on all typical occassions such as XMas and Birthdays but also extend that to the fringe consumer-based holidays such as Valentine's Day, Sweetest Day, Mothers Day, and Fathers Day. Pretty much anything that is engrained by society. I'd rather do something nice because you want to, not because you're told you should.

The only exception is celebrations for young children. They should have fun on XMas and their Birthday.
