Tires for the 109

Looks like I've got to replace my tires within the next few months on the 109.

The factory set has gone 19,000km so far and I see less than another 5-7000 in their future.

Has anyone replaced tires on their 109 yet?
What seems like the best place to go online?
Since I'm more into touring than heavy performance riding, what would be suggested manufacturer to look at? I've heard that the Avons are decently priced and may get more life than a Mettzler

I had a Venom Custom 200/55R18 on my VTX1800, it was a good tyre with decent grip but it didnt last as long as the original fitmant tyre which i think was a dunlop (but dont quote me). I only got about 10k out of the Avon before it started to get ratty and in need of replacement.

Well Don, just looking at the Dennis Kirk book quick

Avon 240/50vr16-353.99

Metzeler 240/50vr16 283.99

When I replaced my rear I got it through the dealer for just over 200+tax.
They ordered it through parts unlimited and gave me a good deal, since I punctured my tire with a piece of glass with only 59 miles on it.

There isn't much else out there for this size tire on the rear.

Yeah, I can get through a Yammy dealer here locally the complete set for 550 installed and balanced
Unfortunately the Suzuki dealer I bought it from is good for $hit
