I currently have the stock 225/50-16 tires on my Grand am. I need to get them replaced. The replacement tires are fairly expensive. I was told that I could use a different tire size, like 215/60-16. Can I do this? What effects will it have (gas mileage, drive, etc.) to my car? Is it safe to use a different tire size?
