Tire Life

I have about 1,400 miles and got a nail in my rear tire. My question is how long do tires normally last (Front/Rear) with city riding and I know it depends on the rider but what's the expected life? I'm tyring to decide if I should just buy a new rear tire or buy a whole new set.

With the low mileage that you have i'd buy a rear tire, you'll generally go through two rears before you'll need to replace the front. Depending on how aggressive you ride, the dragons super corsas generally will last 2000- 6000 miles.

I got 3,700 miles out of my stock rear tire. With most of my other bikes, I would go through 2 rear's before I needed a new front. You will be fine just getting the rear.

the tread on a front tire might last twice as long as that on the rear, but the number of heat cycles on each tire are not going to be the same and that makes a difference. like what has been said above, it depends on how you ride and how much trust you put in your tires.

however, if this is your first set of tires on this bike, and you are still just getting used to things, changing the rear only should be ok.
