Tips on snowplowing with a Garden Tractor?

Recently acquired a Jacobsen Chief Garden Tractor with a snowplow attached to it. Just wondering at height should the plow be from the ground while plowing? Should the plow blade be rested completely on the ground or held just above the ground? What should be an ideal height? Any other tips to ease the stress on the transmission? Also, an attached snow blower or a snowplow, which is easy on the tractor's transmission? Thank you.
I will only be using the tractor on my driveway. I mean only on asphalt surfaces.
 
there shounld be some skid bars on the bottom of the plow you can raise and lower raise it a little
