I have to give a 2 minute speech on how to help poverty in the united states. My idea was to explain the statistics of poverty, how just giving them food and money will solve nothing (the whole give a man a fish teach a man to fish), and then representing my idea, and how it will succeed more than the methods now.
My idea is to get restaurant owners to open restaurants in poverty stricken areas around the US, only hiring poor, lower class people, and having the prices low for food. This will unify the communities, and help feed and raise money for the communities.
Do you have any tips on how much time i should spend on talking about the idea compared to facts (i was thinking 75 percent to 25 percent, with the 75 percent on my idea), or how to organize the speech, and an tips in general?
