practice definately makes perfect!

- if you are writing lyrics that will have background music.. your rhyming definately does not need to be perfect.. because you can match up lines in the intonation of the singers voice
- alliteration is a greattt tool.. (two or more consecutive words that start with the same sound)
- meter... a poem should flow.. so the lines should have a flow two them (if you read shakesperean poetry.. he writes in iambic pentameter..)
- EMOTION... write about something that you can put your heart into
- double meanings are always fun to.. you can write about something that you are feeling.. but disguise it as something else... i.e. if you are writing about failed relationships, you can write about someone trying to ride their bike and keeps falling off when they get to a big hill..)

poetry/ writing lyrics is fun.. just play with it.. you really cant go wrong.. just practice
