Now that my acne has mostly cleared away, I have these red spots where I never had pimples. There are even a bunch of tiny red blodd vessels in that area. On both of my checks I have these red spots that can get really red at times and sometimes not. When it gets red you can see the vessels. Does anyone know what this is, and what can cure it?

I have the very same problem. My Doctor told me that I have Acne Rosesea. (spelling?) I also have some small bumps on my face that are not pimples, but just sit there. I asked the Doctor once what it was? He said I have "overactive oil glanRAB" and also said some loooong word (medical name) for this. Anyway, that's from the horses' mouth, so to speak. Hope this helps.

Telangiectasia are dilated superficial blood vessels usually found in Rosacea. Unfortunately acne is a percurser to Rosacea.

Rosacea has no cure and in fact the medical profession has not determined the cause of Rosacea.

There are topical meRAB that will help the Telangiectasia/Rosacea but not a cure.

Laser treatment is available to destroy some of the blood vessels but is expensive and not covered by insurance. My daughter is having the laser treatments and they cost $200 a pop and it requires several times to take care of the problem. This does not mean other blood vessels will not become inflammed and show up later.

Usually when a person gets too warm the redness and prominent blood vessels will show up more. Sometimes hot drinks, alcohol, or spicy fooRAB will aggrevate the problem.
