time travel films

this particular film has a lot of time travel in it. Whilst its not at the forefront of the movie, the resolution of the movie is to do with time travel and in fact i think that book has about half of it set in the past and figuring out a solution whilst not running into their past selves and so from that pov - it is about time travel.

The 1979 classic Time After Time is hard to beat.
Malcolm McDowell as HG Wells invents a time machine that is hijacked by Jack The Ripper played by David Warner and a chase in the present day ensues.

Curiously still unavailable on dvd in the UK despite being out for several years in the US

I rank it along side the original 1960 Time Machine.

Back to the Future trilogy is also superb entertainment but mainly played for laughs

Based on the comments from you guys I watched Primer over the weekend.

What a film! Doesn't lack anything even with the tiny budget and safe to say it did "bake my noodle!"

I thought it was one of the most intelligent time travel films for a long time. It was a very unique take on things.

Very much recommend this film to anyone - but you must concentrate while watching it!

when it comes to time travel movies, personally, you cant beat the back to the future trilogy!!
not sure about the time travellers wife, saw a trailer for it and just didnt seem that keen on it

prisoner of azkaban doesn't seem like a time travel movie - can understand why people might think it is though.

for me HP uses time travel but its just a plot device whereas a proper time travel movie revolves around the fact they travel in time.

I didn't think much of it personally. Got to 30 mins and then I decided not to watch anymore. It was boring me.

Abriel, I think Deja Vu is a good film with a good twist at the end. I wasn't expecting the film to be that good really but I think it was alright

I've been reading a few reviews of it and am finding people do seem to fall in either thinking it's great and a must see film, or people who just can't get into it at all and like yourself, find it boring.

I guess it's the sort of film you can't just sit and watch, I think you need to want to see it through.

I just found it a nice change to the standard time travel film.

Haven't seen Deja Vu yet, but will also give that a go.

Fantastic! I had a feeling you'd like it.

Possibly the best 'what if it was properly real' film to deal with the subject.

And it really does take an intellect to follow it through! lol, you'll be thinking about it for days now.

Seriously guys, forget your donnie darko's, and harry potters. A film with a $7000 budget with nearly every scene a first take, nailed.

....don't give up after 30 minutes people, it's awesome.
