Time to start a street fighter section

for me to actually lay down some cash for the fighter.. it's gonna have to be one hell of a looker in person.. i like that they did something different ..

but a big part of me wishes that they would have left the "1098" naked idea behind.. they saved money on the r &d sure.. use a frame they already had.. and the motor that fits right in.. same for the fairing on the tail.. but an original take from scratch would be more interesting to me.. like the hyper or multi.

and to be honest.. the 999 is becoming more appealing the more that time goes by.. considering my 1st impression when i first saw it.. that shows that bikes really can grow on me.. i do look forward to seeing the fighter in person, but there will not be an advanced deposit for me..

I hate to piss on anyone cereal bowl but my dealer stated that the bike in person is not a hell of a looker at all. As far as features, has tons of torque, HP, but unless you take it to the track, what good does the DTC do on the S? We all know that over 100 mph you'll feel like a kite without any wind protection.
On this round, even if I'm not a I4 fan, I have to say the 1078 Brutale takes the podium as far as design.
$.02!

I bought a 1098S and a Street fighter back in June...thats right, When I take the Fairing off the 1098S and ride, its a street fighter with a custom exhaust and more power.....Two for one boys

unless your 6'2.. for bigger people the thing that's more appealing is the handle bars and riding position. that motor is the same sure.. but do you do 3-400 mile days on your ride?...

i'm too tall for a 1098... for the track.. sure it was fun.. prefer the 999.. if the fighter doesn't have an "in person" impact.. the 999's coming. i also don't like riding bikes that don't have wind protection.. on long rides it starts to get to ya..
