Time to replace the Treo 650... Help please...

My Treo 650 (unlocked gsm) has been a really mixed experience. On one hand, the ability to sync with my companies exchange server has been life changing, allowing me get out of the office. On the other hand, the constant crashes, resets, and lockups have proved rather frustrating.

For replacement, I?m considering two options:

Verizon Wireless XV6700

Or

Cingular 8125 Pocket PC

And

BlackBerry 8700c (cingular)

I like the idea of sticking with GSM for international travel (which I don?t do very much of, really) and I?ve been with Cingular long enough that I get decent customer service. Also, I know the in?s and outs of the GSM network in my area, and I also like the modularity of a SIM card and being able to use different phones (like a regular candybar phone when I don?t want to carry the brick). On the Verizon side of things I really like the idea of the proven high speed network (EDGE hasn't impressed me on the current 650) and if you compare the phone models the Verizon version is supposedly faster (CPU) and has a better hard key setup for interface. Lastly, the Blackberry is a last option that I don't know much about, so please inform if this is a good idea or not...

So what would Howard Forums recommend? I?m also open to the Treo 700, but I?m a little pissed with Palm and the crap customer service. Plus, that completely knocks the GSM option out of the park.

Thanks in advance,

Sterling

I have a Treo650 and just purchased the Sprint version of the 6700. Unlike you I love the 650 but decided to move to the 6700 for various reasons other than being pissed at Palm. I don't have the 6700 yet but I did get a chance to play with it a bit. Not sure about the other phones you are interested in but if you want the 6700 please try it out before you buy it. If Palm did anything right it is ease of use. You may disvcover being able to get to pretty much anything with only one or two keystrokes is a major trait of Treo's which is lacking in the other phones. I'm sure I will discover the shortcuts for the 6700 but I am also sure I will miss the Treo for the ease of use.

If you are not use to pocket PC's then the mobile 5 phones will be a shocker to you. However compared to the Treo700 the 6700 has a better screen and Wifi built in to name a couple of 6700 advantages.
