Ford seeming to be in the strongest financial position amongst the Big 3, would it make sense to buy FORD stocks now when they're really low in hopes of bailout/bridge loans and a restructuring plan?

Do you see these bailouts/bridge loans as being a catalyst for strong monetary gains?

I would stay away from the Big 3 right now. Yes they may get a part of the bailout plan, but even then it is going to be difficult for all the auto manufacturers for the next couple of years at least.

Its a very risky and skeptical move. I would be very careful looking into any of the autos right now. There is tremendous value in other areas of the market that have a better chance of coming back sooner and create a great profit opportunity. Look into buying a financial ETF that holds a basket of financial companies. You will have diversification among many different companies, pays a nice dividend, and with the bail out package created for financials...they are the largest recepient to it. We are still unsure what exactly the government is going to do with the autos. They have told us however that they will do whatever it takes to help out the financial industry. And that is why I like financials over autos right now.

I was thinking about buying in, but decided to wait & see what happens
with the bailout / bridge loan.
Prices look extremely good right now.
I will wait til monday to see what happens.
If you decide to buy in I wish you the best
Go Ford Go
Good luck to you and Happy Holidays
