Time Team

Yep they've stuck in an extra "half way through day 1" advert break.

It's repeated on More 4 on Saturday (at least it was last year)

Yes, I've thought the same thing. Why they should want to do that is beyond me - have C4 'recently' had a change of top brass who now have zero interest in historical education?

Tonight is the last episode in the present series. So that's just six this year. I'm sure there used to be more. What's even more puzzling is that the official Ch4 website says there should be seven episodes, but for some reason episode four has not been shown and is not listed.

Yes, there is usually 13 episodes. I wonder if they are showing this series in two halves, with the remaining seven in the autumn. The next series is still going ahead as they were filming on the island of Jersey a couple of days ago.

You'd think with all that running around "Metal Mickey" would lose some weight.

The fact that this programme has "artificially arranged time deadlines" which are accepted by some viewers, amazes me.

They always have an excuse, but I bet they really could take another week if they needed it.

Channel 4 are notorious for destroying some of their own programs, I hope this isn't now happening with Time Team. Broadcast months later than it usually is , and now seemingly being spit. into two series. Will have to contact CH4 to see what's going on.

Also, anyone know why Brigid isn't in this series?

Still no news. It was earmarked for 14th March but that was changed. 21st March (in its usual timeslot is showing "to be announced" at the moment.

Apparantly, the first epsidoe synopsis is:

In the first episode of the new series Tony Robinson, Professor Mick Aston and the team investigate one of Britain
