Time Team

Does anyone know if and when Time Team is returning to Channel 4? It usually starts the first sunday in january but it's not in the listings, the website hasn't been updated and only shows times for the last series being shown on More4.

I can't imagine the audience for Time Team is at all similar to that for Antiques Roadshow.

It's not scheduled for next weekend either. The latest a series has started is - according to Wikipedia - January 22nd. Another site - I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link to it - has the 5:30pm and 6:30pm slots for January 17th marked as 'To Be Announced'.

My guess would be end of August or more probably September.
I think that the River Cottage repeats are "filler" after they decided to pull the latest series of Scrapheap Challenge, which I think should have run to something like mid/end August.

Really?

I don't know the demographics of either show but I can see that there will be quite a lot of overlap in the audiences of the two shows.
Both shows are, to some extent, historical and educational programmes. We certainly watch both programmes, as do my father and my husband's parents...

The only difference in our case is that we are unlikely to watch either "live" and we will record one or both of them via Tivo and/or Sky+.

Time Team always had two advertising breaks on Channel 4 - at least for the regular series programmes: one between each day of filming.

Have been watching this since Series 1 and can't believe that it will be series 16 in 2010.

I have been lucky enough to visit some of the locations investigated but always years after they have been there. Even the ones filmed close to where I used to live and didn't realise until they had aired
