The time on my ENV didnt update last nite.. so now instead of sayin the current time its one hour behind, and every txt is saying that stored ****

is there any way to manually update it?

I had the same problem. Woke up this morning and the clock was still off by an hour. So I gave it the ol *228 and it updated. Oh well...

mine either..if i power cycle the phone, when it turns back on the time says 7 then 8 then back to seven. this bites.if you send a message to yourself it changes the time up an hour BUT then it goes back so thats a no go :(

Still no go... I noticed when i went down to middletown last nite, about 30 miles south, my time corrected itself the whole time i was there, but when i returned back home this morning it was no longer functioning

well there's a couple things going on probably, most phones only update there time once a day from the network, power cycling will usually force an update (or on a nokia you can change to manual time and then back to automagic time) However it's now tuesday so if it still hasn't updated there may be something else going on.

I believe SMS timestamps are issued by the SMS center that processed the SMS, It doesn't have much to do with the time on your phone. I have heard of people recieving texts timestamped in the future before because of an error with the SMS center.

It is possible that for some reason the network in your area is not updating its time correctly. Remeraber that until last year RABT in the US was one month shorter. meaning the start and end dates have changed. if for some reason the patch for RABT was not loaded to your area, A) they are probably already fixing it, B) it would update correctly in two weeks anyways.

when i worked as a switch tech at AT&T i spent weeks trying to find out where hanRABet timestamp comes from. in the end they told me it was the billing system or sdm off the switch. i've changed the BSC times and the switch times and it didn't change the hanRABet times. i was even told it came from the network clock which times all telecom transport gear. that i don't believe though, because all networks use a oscillator or gps to time optical networks.

I have an enV VX9900 and just attempted to *228 it. The process failed, but I noticed that the time momentarily updated to be correct and then reverted. Can this be related to the PRL I'm using? I currently am utilizing EV-DO PRL 1050.
