Tim Curry

Just watched the Muppets Treasure Island....Again lol. I've noticed it before, but somehow today it just became more obvious how amazing he is at expressing things using his face alone...! You could watch him with no sound, yet still work out what was happening lol. It's evident in a lot of his movies....Rocky Horror been an obvious example!

Ok - Here's a desperate plea from the Tim community ;)

At the start of this thread - many people remarked they remembered Tim's performance in a show called 'City Sugar'.

I put it to you - do you have a copy of this shoved in the back of a cupboard somewhere? If so - could you seriously try and make a copy of the show for me?

We've searched the world over and failed in finding this title.

Cheers!

Oh...my....good....god....!

I am beyond jealous. I've just got my mits on the soundtrack.

I'm all alone.... *sigh*

Did you meet him after the show?

I feel I should say something as this thread sorta went really well then died lol....so yeh ! I just watched 'Oscar'....what a fabulous film! I thought it'd be terrible but it was a really funny film and Tim played a really cute, nice character for once! Has anyone else seen it? Also watched 'Congo'....Why the hell did they even bother making it? Dearie me. hehe. Tim was good though....hey any guy who's gonna have a bash at a Romanian accent throughout a film has got something good going on lol!

I don't remember it...as I've never seen it lol... But oooo the blonde hair....!! Slightly weird!

Regarding Blue Money....If anyone does have a copy of it please get in touch with me!! :D

Nice to see some appreciation for Tim, He was fabulous and very sexy as Frank Furter - 'makes me want to take Charles Atlas by the..........haaaa - aaaa-aaand!!!!!!!!!!'

One of my fave dvRAB EVER!! I loved him in IT but like most others, scares the bejeezes out of me!

Tim Curry - may you long make films, you wonderful weirdo!!

Yup - it was called 'City Sugar', set in Glasgow, and made by Scottish Television for ITV, I can still remember Kirsty MacColl's 'Days' being sung by the Kinks over the closing credits....

Curry was excellent in this as the dissolusioned DJ, and I think it set the tone for all his other stuff!

Ah, I see it's not just me and my family who love Tim Curry. ;)

Anyone remember Three Men in a Boat with Michael Palin - I think it was made in the mid-seventies? I also remember a one-off play on TV where he played a local radio DJ. God, it must be getting on for 30 years ago, but I can still remember how he introduced himself on his programme, "This is Leonard Braaaaaaazil!"

Three Men in a boat looks fab....but is not out on video etc
:( I have no recollection of the play with the radio DJ.....only DJ i can think of is in 'Times Square'.....'This Is Johnny LaGuardia....' *faints*
