Tim Curry

I just wondered what you all thought of Mr Curry. He's an amzingly talented actor, singer and voice artist....yet he remains one of those Hollywood stars that people still say 'who?' before you go on to tell them a role he has played. He's my favourite actor and I collect his films and music....I just wondered what you all thought of him?

He's a beautiful man....and he can pull off any role....from singing alien transvestite to Long John Silver...so yeah...what are your opinions?

:)

Tim Curry!!!
Argh!! All i see when somebody mentions him, is that FREAK clown!! Ever since the movie I.T.... i HATE clowns with a passion, they frighten the sh*t out of me!!!

Having said that though, he is a great actor, wasn't he in the film Annie also??(i loved that film)

I realise I'm bumping an old thread, but just had to say this:

I'm going to see Spamalot!!!!!

Off to NY in October and Spamalot is on the menu :D

DP

Lol! A lot of people feel that way about him....let's face it look at some of his past roles! Pennywise the clown and a seriously physco Bill Sykes are two examples lol. Mind you he makes me feel all funny too....hehehehe.

Actually when they were filming Annie, Sarah Jessica Parker had just finished playing Annie herself on Broadway! So she would have been a BIT young to play Lily :)

But back to Tim Curry, I'm off to New York at the end of November and have tickets to see him on stage in Spamalot (he plays King Arthur). Can't wait!

Do any of you guys think Tim would have been a good Bond, back in the late 70s? I was recently having a discussion about Tim as a Bond Villian and I suggested he would have made a stunning Mr Bond back in the day....to which people replied he is too short lol. I've never watched a whole Bond film, so I dunno why the whole discussion started but hey...if Tim had av been Bond, I would have watched um lol....jeez the crap I've watched to get a Curry fix is unbelievable!

I can't believe ITV1 put McHale's Navy on last night .... I ended up buying a copy from the states which took an age to arrive and there it is on TV....woah lol. Such a shoddy film tho ... gotta love Tim mind you .... the 2nd best terrorist in the world! :D

I love Tim Curry.

I first got into him with 'Clue' and that is still my favourite film of his...he is so funny in that. I have an old worn out video of it knocking about somewhere.

And yes, I loved him in 'Annie' too.
