Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland

I'm surprised that no-one has posted these pictures already. The first view of Tim Burton's vision of Alice in Wonderland with Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham-Carter (now there's a surprise!;)) as the Red Queen, Matt Lucas as Tweedledee and Tweedledum (and looking very strange too imo) and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen (I don't know why but her eyebrows look really striking in the picture to me. I wonder why they didn't dye them white to complete the look?)

The visual look is as striking as ever which is only to be expected with Burton at the helm. Looking forward to seeing this one although it's not out until 2010.

I really can't wait for this film.
In a way I wish it was a direct adaptation on the book, and then they could make Through the Looking Glass, but it's more of an amalgamation of both with Alice as a 17 year old revisiting Wonderland.

Very exciting

Is it just me or does the Rabbit from the action scenes just look identical to Disney's previous cartoon Rabbit?

I thought it would look more real, and for some reason, brown.

Anyway, images do look amazing, I hope its excellent, I'm really looking forward to it.

The bottom three scenes are paintings, some images in the finished film will be quite different. I'm so looking forward to this film too. :)

Just saw some stills from this on IMDB earlier, I didn't even know Burton was making it, I think it will be amazing. Something along the lines of Big Fish meets Sleepy Hollow, def Burton back on form. :)

Tim Burton and Johnny Depp have a very, very suuccessful partnership. Burton is one of my favourite directors and Depp - well he is just brilliant and so gorgeous!

Really looking forward to the movie.

After the brilliance of Sweeney Todd (check it out if you haven't) I have every faith that Burton will deliver here, Depp too (though that's a given).

The white rabbit's definitely white, but is Alice really blonde in a blue dress? I thought that was a Disney invention. In my Alice book (Adventures Underground & Through the Looking Glass both in one volume) the illustrations show her as dark-haired in a red dress. Mind you, it is a Disney film.

By the look of the pictures it will be good!

Edit.
I did a quick Google search and it seems that Lewis Carroll's Alice was in fact brunette.

Can't wait for this :)
Love the Tim/Helena/Johnny trio.
Alan Rickman is involved too (the caterpillar!)
Really excited to see it!

I am very excited about the release of this movie. I heard rumours YEARS ago of this happen, except it was Marilyn Manson due to create and direct. This was prior to Manson and Dita's split.

Manson was due to play the Red Queen. Daryl Hannah was due to play The Caterpillar. Alan Cummings was to play The King. I do not remember the rest, sorry. If I am being honest, I would have loved to have seen Manson play the Red Queen and Daryl Hannah as The Caterpillar. :)
