Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland - casting in Plymouth

This movie starring Johnny Depp as the mad hatter will be filmed in and around Plymouth and set in Victorian England.
They are casting extras in plymouth today and tomorrow and the lines are huge! I am going along tomorrow.
What do you think the film will be like? Do you think it will be any good?
 
I'm also too far from Plymouth :( I would have loved to be an extra.

I think it will be great, I'm a big fan of Tim Burton and Johnny Depp so it's a win-win situation for me.
 
If I had gone and auditioned for an extra, would they let me because of my glasses. I can't wear contacts, and obviously my glasses wouldn't have been around in the era they are setting it.

Would I have been allowed to walk around blurry while they filmed? or is that health and safety?

I can't see them bothering making me a pair of old style glasses with lens in...



I believe he has been cast in the film.
 
As a Fan of both Tim Burton & Johnny Depp this is great new:D!

Who better to do "Alice In Wonerland" A.K.A. The World's Most Twisted Fairtale than them? I for one am really looking forward to it:).

I wonder if Tim Burton would make it as twisted as Jan Svankmajer's version?
 
Well I went along today and it looks like it's going to be a very dark film. They loved me and I have very pale skin, big eyes and dark blonde hair - there were also a lot of men with moustaches whom they were telling to grow out - they wanted long thin moustaches.
It's going to be set in victorian times and everyone who got accepted had their head, neck, bust waist hips and leg measurements done, and are going wear high waisted skirts and hats (the women)
they were also asking if people had any dogs to put that down as they want dogs for the film.
Should be excellent!
