Ticket to writing a bestseller?

I'm working on a book right now, but I'm not going to give away the plot for copyright issues. I'm not sure if it would be popular among my target audience, though. Teenage girls are into vampire/werewolf romance these days, and I was never interested in that. So I'm writing a teen romance novel with that element taken out, but the action, suspense and intimate moments between characters will still be in it. I just wanna know if this book would sell before I send it off to be copywritten and waste my money. The main genres are angst, drama, romance, family, and adventure. Will it sell among teenagers, or any other age group?
My story takes place in an original setting. There are no United States, Britain or any other known country. It's still Earth, but not as we know it. It takes place in the 17th century, but civilization is very advanced, say 21st century, with the exception of vehicles. There's a war between two sides in 1 city, kind of like Romeo and Juliet, but no tragic ending.
People still communicate via letters, post cards, face to face. No telephones, cell phones, TVs, or MP3 players. Overall, there are a lot of medical and architectural advances.
