Throwing things into the Sun

Almost five months ago, I made a topic called Destroying the Moon, in where the moon was destroyed, defaced and broke in cartoons.

Now it's the Sun's turn. A couple weeks ago I saw an episode of "The Batman" where Bataman gave Superman an important item
a lead can containing Kryptonite
Superman threw the item into the sun.

I also remember that Captain Planet did that frequently with radioactive waste he takes from an eco villain (usually Duke Nukem)

Is there any other examples?

Okay not throwing things in the sun but in the episode of Ed Edd n Eddy where they imagine their own reality Eddy takes a bite out of the sun and turns it into the moon

The Simpsons' "Three Men and a Comic book" episode has Bart showing Lisa a Radioactive Man comic where he punched Dr. Crab into the sun, followed by RM saying "Hot enough for ya?" (Bit more violent than the RM of the Bongo Comics, who's basically a right-wing version of Homer :-p ).

Stimpy flies into the sun in "I Was a Teenage Stimpy". Commander Hoek and Cadet Stimpy are also burned alive by the sun in "The Scotsman in Space".

"What are ya?"

Not a cartoon but in the Dragonball Z Movie "Cooler's Revenge", Goku's attack pushed Cooler into the sun with an energy attack that caued Cooler to be destroyed (well rebuilt as part of a mechanized traveling attack station in "The Return Of Cooler") anyway.

In an Aqua Teen San Diego Comic promo the Moonites tried to destroy the Sun with a laser bolt but never got anywhere close (they also tried to claim later they owned or could own the sun in "Remooned" so they're obviously big on wanting to destroy/take the sun for some reason).

In the premiere of The Super Powers Team Galactic Guardians, the Superfriends gather all of Darkseid's Seeds Of Doom on Earth and toss them in the sun.

Later in that same season, they shot Superman's supposedly dead body into the sun before realizing he was only comatose. Whoops. Good thing this was pre-crisis Supes.

and in another episode they're watching an episode of 'The Real World - The Sun' on TV and Amy comments on how people would pay a fortune for an apartment on the sun XD

Actually, that was Leela, and she said that the rents were exceedingly high for an apartment on the sun. It's funny, because the sun is a star, not a planet. :p

A few episodes I recall involves the title of this thread, these episodes from those animated series are:

'New Kids in Town' (Superman: TAS) Brainiac is seen falling into the sun after his attempted escape was thwarted by young Clark Kent, aided by LoSH members Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, and Chameleon Boy.

'Eclipsed Pt. : 2' (Justice League) The Flash, with Green Lantern's help, threw an explosive device into the 'eclipsed' sun ,reigniting it and saving the earth.

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe (2002 remake) an episode that aired during the Snake-men arc (I don't know which one it is) had He-Man tossing a massive tower into the Eternian sun, stopping King Hiss' plans, transforming all humanoid life into snakes.

Firestorm was able to increase the ship's shield power so they could pull if off, thereby redeeming himself for his previous failure when he took too long to get to Superman after being exposed to the Kryptonite.

Astroboy was killed off in the final episode of the black and white series when he sacrified himself by controlling a rocket into the sun in order to save Earth.
