Throttle sticking

Yesterday I got pounded with rain for 2 straight hours and noticed my throttle would stick in place when I released my hand. I thought it might be due to the amount of rain so the next morning I checked it, still happens. I will be bringing it in to get fixed but just wondering if anyone else experienced their throttle sticking. BTW, just had my 5K service done so maybe they did something then and I just never noticed it.

I've had that happen on my 09 EG. Took it to dealer while still wet and sticking. After making sure I had the correct end play, the tech advised me to take it apart when I had time and lube. Since then I have not gotten wet so I don't know if its fixed or not. Guess I should hose it down.

The handgrip has a lip that rides inside a groove in the switch housing. When they bind, it does stick like that.

Lossen up the switch housing screws and you will notice right away that the handgrip turns easier, then thighten up the screws a little on the top and a little on the bottom until you can get them thight without the rubber flange bindidng.

Regards,
