Three friends are out camping.?

The first friend brings 4 cans of beer and the second friend brings 3 cans of beer. They all drink together the same amount of beer. Then the third guy gives the first two guys 7 dollars since he did not bring anything. How should he split that 7 dollars between his friends so that it would be fair?
 
Each person drinks 7/3 cans
The first friend brings 4 cans out of which he drinks 7/3 cans. Therefore he gives 4 - 7/3 = 5/3 cans to third guy.

The second friend brings 3 cans out of which he drinks 7/3 cans. Therefore he gives 3 - 7/3 = 2/3 cans to third guy.

Therefore the two friends will get money in the ratio of 5/3 : 2/3 or 5:2
Total money = 7 dollars

Therefore first friend will get 7 * 5/(5+2) = 5 dollars
Second friend will get 7 * 2/(5+2) = 2 dollars

Ans: First will get 5 dollars
Second will get 2 dollars
