Thousands of practically new FEMA trailers just rotting in Arkansas fields.

It would probably have been cheaper to just put up a curb alert on craigslist in 2006 than pay that rent and try to auction them off.
 
Fucking government.

There are literally thousands of fully furnished mobile homes just rotting on Farmers land by the Hope Airport in Hope, AR (google maps it). To make it worse, they're paying these farmers ridiculous money to just use the land. I'm talking like 50,000.00 a month contracts of 4 years (that was just renewed).
 
Those trailers, even with dangerously-high levels of formaldehyde, were probably still better than the houses these people were living in before the storm.
 
I don't know what I was thinking when I typed that, 50,000 would be nothing. They're paying 50,000 a fucking month!!!
 
Negative, it is right beside the airport, but I assure you it's farmers land. I guess I should have explained that. I don't know the whole background, but I do know that the payment is going to some farmers.
 
A farmer might own the land and lease it to the airport, or farm some of the fields in between the runways, but that is a fucking airport.
