When Spidey changes his costume colour it would have been nice to have at least one character mention the fact

If Spidey's symbiotic suit makes him evil, why is he dodgy when he's not wearing it? And why does he have to tear it off when before he could just leave it in the box.

When James Cromwell/the police chief sees his daughter in peril he should look at least slightly worried.

Venom should have been left to another movie

Sandman saying 'oops, sorry for being naughty' at the end was silly. Why team up with Venom then?

Spidey doesn't need to explain the suit to get the girl he recently smacked in the face back? Eh?

I'm of two minRAB, I liked the movie a lot but I agree with a lot of people on the multiple villians issue. Sometimes It's good to have the one villian and it's certainly easier to concentrate on.

More Venom was indeed needed, but I have to say, he was on longer than I thought he was going to be...I was, at one point, worried he was just going to appear at the end and set up Spidey 4, something I'm sure, some people would have wanted.

I'd like to believe Venom survived. We saw the bomb thrown at him and Brock jump in, but he could ahve attached himself to the symbiot and jump out of the way of the blast, all we saw was a blast. Perhaps a plot hole to some, but it is possible.


Sandman effects were awesome. Emo-Parker was annoying.. :eek: good god the dancing in the street & the jazz club!! I was actually wondering whether I was watching the same film!!

Would have liked a Mary Jane/Gwen Stacey cat-fight, tehe! :D

Overall, not as good as the first two but a worthy addition to the series, and yes, I'd like some more!
 
I thought the film was ok. Not great. I felt the storylines were fast paced with regarRAB to one storyline jumping to the next. Which is disappointing. Due to being a big fan of Spiderman.
It was a shame that Venom didn't get much screen time. Did anyne notice Eddie Brock bonded with symbiote when the explosion went off? But the comedic moments were fantastic. Especially the waiter responding to the signal from Peter.
 
I went to see it yesterday and I thought overall it was good, although my enjoyment of the movie was a little distracted (see my rant at the bottom).

Some of the action/CGI scenes were hard to make out what was going on.. especially the first Harry encounter.. it was way too dark. I hate to think how much money that action sequence took to create considering we cant bloody see it!

Some scenes were quite funny.. like the Jameson pills.. Bruce as the french waiter.

The whole dancing in the street was a little wierd.. I just didnt really know what to think about that. Although I liked how evil Peter had his hair alittle different.

The final fight was pretty good.

I know its a 12A.. but seriously, who in their right mind would bring a small child to see a 2.5 hour film! I was in a packed huge cinema and there were kiRAB crying/talking all the way through! Some were taking their kiRAB out which is fine.. but others just let their babies scream away.. TAKE THE CHILD OUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!

In the last chapter, venom got a little scary.. cue more small children balling their eyes out! Argggghhhhhhh!

I will have to catch it again on DVD where I can watch it in peace.

I saw the Goblin fight projected in full HD at a Sony preview recently and it looked a lot better than you could ever expect to see at yer local multiplex. Hopefully this will be the case with the hi-def DVD versions.
 
I saw Spiderman 3 on Sunday and me and my sisters had to go and see the 9:00pm showing, because people were queuing outside the cinema, just to see Spiderman 3 for the 8:00pm showing! And me and my sisters had to sit where we had to sit and we sat like 5 rows near the screen!!

My thoughts are its a good film to see and I give a 8/10. :)
 
Fine but disappointing. The goofiness was just too goofy. Maguire couldn't handle Parker's dark side, scratch that, he probably could have if the script had taken it seriously instead of taking the p**s and giving him silly dance numbers. They should have scratched the sandman and put him in a later film, leaving just venom and harry as the baddies.

A shame as parts of it were excellent. I disagree with some reviews saying Dunst was bad in it. I thought she gave the best performance of the film and communicated MJ's feelings well.
 
Shame they just announced they will be making a 4, 5 & 6 :cry: Lets hope they do a little better with the next three then they did with this.

I had a horrible feeling the doctor treating Harry would turn out to be Dr Bart Hamilton who became the 3rd Goblin in the comics.

Apparentely they might use carnage for spiderman 4 which is a bit early considering venom. I guess it could work if they made carnage more important in the films than venom was in the comics. Also a spiderman film with carnage may bring it up to a 15.
 
I can cope with the Spidey jumping in front of the Stars 'n' Stripes but I wish that US directors would appreciate that numerous shots of cheering crowRAB made up of giddy Americans with varying levels of acting are INCREDIBLY cringeworthy and moviespoilingly for the rest of the world (and increasingly America too, according to the US citizen we saw it with...).

One of them did, I can remember them saying it.

If Spidey's symbiotic suit makes him evil, why is he dodgy when he's not wearing it? And why does he have to tear it off when before he could just leave it in the box.
My response:
I think this was because usually, he took it off with the intentions of putting it on again, also this was only the first few times he wore it, the longer he did though, the more evil he became, so it got to a point where he couldn't escape it and had to tear it off as the suit became part of him and knew he was afraid and was fighting it's powers.

My response:
Well, those sort of quick decisions are what got him into trouble in the first place, so maybe that was another one he made, only to finally realise at the end that violence solves nothing, and we all get our morality lesson for the summer.

Just got back from watching it, went in not expecting much after hearing the reviews and came out pleasantly surprised. It is certainly nowhere near as bad as some have made out, very entertaining although admittedly flawed in places.

Mainly too much going on. It felt very much like the people behind it didn't think there was going to be a fourth and so put in everything they ever wanted to. That made the plot overly complicated and cumbersome at times. Whilst the individual plot stranRAB were well played there was too much going on. It would have been much cleaner not to have Venom in it at all. Take out all the stuff about him and the suit and the film still would and could have had plenty to go on what with Harry's story, Peter getting sucked in to his own success and subsequent problems with MJ, and Sandman. Venom was interesting but short changed. His story could and probably should have been a film of its own.

As someone who's only known Spider-man previously from cartoons, I really, really didn't care how Gwen Stacey was used. To me she did her job which was to put a spanner in the works between Peter and MJ.

The way people were banging on about the singing and dancing I was expecting some big cheesy number half way through yet it didn't materialise! What they put in seemed to fit with the film and so it didn't bother me.

Harry's story was very well played and one of the strongest parts of the film. At first I wasn't sure about the 'amnesia' story but it actually added a lot of emotion to the final outcome.

There were some stunning set pieces and action sequences too. Shame they had to put a bit of a downer on the last one by having the stupid reporter in there. Why any decent editor wouldn't cut that, I don't know...

Overall it is really no where near as bad as people have made out!
