My story up to this point is here:

http://www.healtrabroadoarRAB.com/boarRAB/showthread.php?t=724981

Given that my conclusion so far is that it was caused from being prescribed too much ibuprofen taken over a few days & now I have to deal with recovery, I'm a bit skeptical that a minor diet change & meRAB will be the best bet - I'd rather get feedback from people actually experiencing any sort of ulcers and learn what it really takes to fully heal.

I am very disciplined when I need to be so I am open to hearing about the most strict diet possible without losing out on necessary nutrition. Only tough part so far has been giving up coffee, but if that's what it takes then that's what it takes.

Also, a few questions that I didn't ask my doctor that i can't find answers for:

- I know eating within 2 hours or less before sleeping should be avoided but what about drinking water? Does drinking water before sleeping create the same or similar conditions as eating?

- What's the real truth about milk? I know it's "bad" in that it causes gas even though initially when drinking it's soothing, but I literally am reading different opinions every other web site I go to for more info.

- If it's my stomach, why do I feel the discomfort/tenderness just under my right ribcage? Isn't that where either my liver or large intestine are? Can a large intestine also have ulcer-like ulcer conditions and, if so, would the same regiment help or would I need to be more strict in my diet?
