Those with acculigns

I'm tall - 6'3" and have been working on getting the ergos sorted out on the 848. I started with the acculigns in the most up and aft position and found that to be uncomfortable. I have since moved the pegs forward to the center location and that was much better, I was able to get my knees nice and tucked under the tank without hitting the fairings (sitting back on the seat). I do find though that my feet have been "dancing" around a lot on the pegs, almost like I'm trying to get settled in. I have also adjusted the pedal to peg angle to help.

I wanted some feedback from my fellow board members on what your settings and pedal position are. I use GP shift and I don't have any clip on or triple tree mods, please indicate if you do when posting. Thanks!

here is mine, i am just under 6ft. originally i had mine set to high which meant it was hard for me to get a good grip on the tank and my whole butt and body was coming up and out of the seat too easy hard on the brakes.

you just need to keep adjusting it to find the right spot, when you do it will be sweet

I'm 6' 3" and have the acculigns (standard shift) set at the lowest, rearmost holes with the peg at about a "4 'o clock" position, e.g., the furthest straight line from the handle bars and its works great for me, knees still comfortable to grip the tank.

Keep in mind that even if two people are the same height, one may have longer legs than the other so the preferred settings may differ. When I set mine up I put it in the front wheel chock and just got into my riding stance on the bike, dialed it in from there, and confirmed it with a short ride. Good luck!

I did had it set up the reverse shift like couple above year ago I found it doesn't shift well, just spend little more money to buy DP shifter or Rizoma shifter it work really well and very comfortable.

Acculigns set furthest back and lowest position.

Sato's look like better hardware,
but the Acculign's appeared to be the only ones with 'more leg room'.

It works A LOT better then the stock rearsets with the flipped linkage. I haven't tried the DP, Rizoma or motowheels shift lever, but I'd like to try one out just to see how it compares. This tranny with it's notchiness and false neutrals frustrates the $hit out of me sometimes though and I wonder if spending any more money on the peripherals will make a difference.
