I'm diagnosed psychotic depression. My family of course knows and have even visited me while in the psych hospital and been to doctor appointments with me these past few years after I was diagnosed. However they make fun of people with mental illness around me and act as if they are extremely dangerous killers. To me it seems they know i have it, yet they force it out of their head and make fun of it right in front of me and some also say people with mental illness just use it as an excuse to be lazy and not do anything. And others don't understand and just say "Get over it, who cares, stop complaining, you dont even know what it is to suffer."
Those of you with diagnosed mental illness, does your family accept?
