I would venture to guess that the fact you're clueless about what that means is a huge reason why you got fired.
@ least your boss told you that you were canned. My boss just stoped giving me hours. But that's a longer rant and this is your thread. I hope you find another job soon. Hopefully your job market is better than the one around here.

maybe if you gave us a brief description of what your job was, just saying that your boss is a prick doesn't give us much info. you need to elaborate a little, would a couple of paragraphs be asking too much of you? i mean it's not like you've got a job to go to tomorrow, please, so fill us in with some much needed info.

I've had the unfortunate job of "letting go" several people in my career. Usually when I discuss maturity with someone it has 90% to do with attitude. When I say attitude, I don't necessarily mean that someone is an asshole, but if you were constantly detached, or had to be coaxed to do your job, I would definitely call that immature.
The good news is that it sounds as though you were capable of doing the job, but just didn't. At least your problem is one that can be fixed; most people don't have that luxury.
