professional's point of veiw.? This subject is kind of non-serious but i really have wanted to know. we got onto the topic which of weed. And i would like to know how much harm it really can be if used responsibly and not in excess. I have heard from people that have went to several doctors and he told them he smokes weed and they said they don't care about that. I'd just like an actual doctors point of view please...
Um...after i heard that one kid...um yeah i know they're side effects i'm saying that are they relaly that harmfull....because i've heard that only heavy heavy smokers of pot feel those side effects after a while like 10 years...and they eventually go away after you stop smoking...im saying from a doctors literal point of veiw. the smoke is oviously bad. but so is alcohol and alcohol is worse and people do that and its legal...jsut my opinion

If you have any existing psychological problems, weed will make them worse. But if you're mentally healthy then smoking weed every once in a while really isn't a problem. If you do it too often you'll become sluggish and lethargic. Don't make it a habit and don't use it to relieve stress. Just do it every once in a while with friends at a party or something. Then it's just fun and doesn't cause any problems.

weed is virtually harmless
it becomes bad because its illegal
if govt were to allow it
they could make safe way to use it
and it would solve the health risks
its bullshit

Well, I guess I'm going to probably play the only person that disagrees here.

Fact: Any smoke, it doesn't matter what it is from, is bad for your lungs. How do you get the high from weed? Smoking it. The smoke goes into your lungs and damages them. While there may not be any 'health effects' (or so people love to claim, as a cop-out...obviously there are some kinds of effects if it makes people act crazy and have hallucinations). People can say all day long, "It has no tar in it like cigarettes." Okay, that's fair. But one question: Imagine a person locked in a house/room. What if green plants, such as natural plants (veggie plants) were set on fire in that enclosed spot, and the person breathed those in? They're natural, right? But why does the smoke make you cough? Because no matter how 'natural' something is, when you light it on fire...the smoke is STILL BAD for you in itself. It's natural in that it comes from the earth and is a plant - that is it's natural state. When you set it on fire, that plant is no longer in it's natural state - sorry. People who try to act like that isn't a fact, are just denying facts. It's undeniable that any type of smoke - no matter what it comes from - is bad for your lungs. They are the only set of lungs you have to breathe and deliver oxygen to your body. Would you put oil in your gas tank and expect your car to run properly? Of course not. Neither would you put smoke in lungs meant for air.

Ummm...yeah, alcohol is bad, too. Why do people need to smoke/drink/do drugs to live life? Is life *that* bad that one must be stoned/drunk all the time to get away from it? "A little fun" is called going out with friends or family and having a good time. I don't smoke, I don't drink, and I don't do drugs. My 'high' comes from lifting weights and waking up in the morning feeling strong and in better shape. As for the people who went to several doctors and they were told that he smokes weed; that's just like the surgeons nowadays who warn to stay away from cigarettes, because they cause lung cancer. Do they smoke? Yes. They don't take their own advice, so people think it's safe. But it is their job to tell other people what is safe for those people, even if they don't take their own advice and want to die early, themselves. They're just being dumb, and they know the risks and want to destroy their life anyway. They also think it helps them 'cope' with stress. I have stress, like everyone...I try to find health ways to let that out, like exercising. "Weed" is also rather expensive to keep buying over and over...and it really doesn't help anything. What does it accomplish? It gives a quick high, and for some people, a massive headache afterwards. I don't personally base my life and what I do, on what my friends do. If they want to do crazy things and do drugs (yes, weed IS a drug, and is illegal for that very reason)...then that's them. I want to live as long as possible, personally.

okay so im not a doctor
but weed is totally harmless!
even if used in excess there are hardly any - if EVER, side effects
