Mark spends double the amount of time
reading as he does listening to music.
If he spends 4.5 hourse reading AND listening to music
how long does he spend doing EACH activity
11 and 2.5 are wrong... remember ...

make and equation so:
R = M2
And 2.5 wouldn't work because
2.5 listening to music times 2 = 5...

and you have to add the music time AND the time reading to the final answerrr
 
Reading = 3 hours
Listening = 1.5 hours

Just take total time 4.5 and divide by 3. gives 1.5, so you know that 1.5 is listening and 2 x 1.5 is 3.0 = reading.
