Is the question not clear to you? PC emulators just manipulate inputs too, they don't modify the rom dump in any way.

I think what will hurt the Wii more long term (in regards to sales) is when adoption rates for HDTVs increase in the coming years and the Xbox 360 and PS3 drop in price. The Wii is obviously never going to be free, so when the price gap closes it's really going to put the hurt on. I mean, you can buy a Xbox 360 Core right now for $199 after rebate at Microcenter. Imagine the prices in a couple of years.
