Salt, something that kills a fraction of the people, has not been as deadly.
In the end, people will still do it, no matter how hard you fight it. Hell, billions of dollars are spent combating drugs, and yet a legal drug kills more people than illegal drugs ever have.
You're wrong to defend the attacks on salt. There's far more dangerous shit going on that is more worthy of your attention.
