because when i was in middle school/high school....

only 2 of my friends had the turbografx system, with the fancy graphics. we were like OMG AWESOME...but they were not often played.

everyone had NES with tecmo bowl.
everyone had SNES with mario kart

and we played them CONSTANTLY.
super simple game that was tons of fun - how awesome was it to hit someone with a green shell?

and that's the gaming that i miss.
 
good...nintendo is banking on you bitches to relive your childhood nostalgic days while the rest of us are playing grown up games on xboxlive
 
eh dude i have a PC, i can already play the hi-res shooters on my 2405FP and not have to bitch about whether a HDMI cable is included.

what makes you think there won't be grown up games on the wii? You can make anything you want. Its up to the developers...several are excited about the possibilities with the wii control system. If i was developing again, i would be all over the wii with design ideas. Its also a great opportunity for smaller developers to make a name for themselves. Many don't have the resources or team like the bigger companies. They are kinda SOL especially on ps3.

Take rayman on wii for example. No one would be talking about it if it came out for ps3 or 360 no matter how good it looked. But its getting alot of talk just because of the experience it delivers due to wii's control system. This is very exciting. Hopefully this launch is catching developers' eyes. They should realize wii is selling and it does makes sense to make games for nintendo again.
 
I have a 360 and would never get a PS3.

I would experiment with a wii, as it looks like something with a solid game in Zelda and good potential with their controller setup
 
I guess I bought into Nintendo's demographic hook line and sinker and guess what.. I don't give a flying fuck .

I have not had more fun playing video games since I first opened up my NES and played mario/duck hunt when I was like 9 years old (when it first came out) on christmas morning.

I could care less about "adult" games right now.. if I want a good "adult" game i'll log into my Absolute Poker account and play some poker -- or go to the nearest casino which is only an hour away and play at a real table.

penny for penny you are not going to find more fun from a game console then you are going to get from the Wii. I know this is only my opinion, but I am sure several others share it.

now I am about to stop typing and play Wii sports with my wife -- who hates video games by the way but is REQUESTING to play this with me.
 
Actually, you never said "xbox 360" "360" or even "xbox" without a prefix or suffix.

You said "xboxlive" which is a service offered on both the Xbox and the Xbox 360.

I don't understand your insistance that the Wii only has kids games. I've been blowing away Nazis left and right for the last few days and shooters on consoles have always sucked until the wii-remote came along. It is as easy to point and shoot as a mouse
