For about a month, I keep getting a phone call on my home line that says on the caller ID, OUT OF AREA (in place of where the name is), and 91312 (in the phone number line). They call 3 to 5 times a day waking up my new born (or me for that matter) and when I answer, there is never anyone on the line. You can't call it back because it isn't long enough to dial out. I cannot use anonymous call rejection because it isn't anonymous. I tried *60 but since it isn't a normal 10 digit number (with area code) I cannot add it to my list. There is an option to block the last number that called my line. I followed the directions by hitting # then 01 then # again and it says that the number is incorrect. The number 01 is what tells them to add the last number, but it doesn't work on this call. I called the phone company and they are as puzzled as I am. If no one knows what to do, at least someone tell me what the hell it is. I looked it up online and someone said something about a person calling about a 50 dollar gas card, but there is no one on there EVER. For f--k's sake, I'm being called by a damned ZIP code or something.
BTW I'm already on the National Do Not Call list. I did this months ago and haven't received a telemarketing call in a while so it is working except for this 91312 number.
Jamie: I'm not asian, but I am Buddhist. Good call! Can't say I believe in bad luck like that, cause I see the way karma works... however, maybe it's payback for all the prank calls my cousin and I did growing up...lol
Everyone else: I already called the phone company and they can't block it cause it's only 5 digits. I answer it all the time and there is no one there.
