Eric Holder Feb 2009 "Though this nation has proudly thought of itself as an ethnic melting pot, in things racial, we have always been, and we, I believe, continue to be, in too many ways, a nation of cowards"
WASHINGTON July 11, 2009 – Attorney General Eric Holder is considering whether to appoint a criminal prosecutor to investigate the Bush administration's interrogation practices, a controversial move that would run counter to President Barack Obama's wishes to leave the issue in the past.
Holder plans to make a final decision within the next few weeks, a Justice Department official told The Associated Press on Saturday night. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on a pending matter.
Will this do more harm then good?

The right thing is never to be questioned as whether it will do more harm then good. The right thing to do is to follow the law and prosecute those who break it regardless of what the President says as he is not Dictator and we have and Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of government for a reason. Holder does not work FOR Obama, he was appointed by him.

It will do more harm. And Obama wishes to leave it alone because plenty of Democrats will be caught in the fray if they start to play this game. My guess is Holder as well as other officials will "pretend" they intend to move forward with interrogations to pander to those who are most angry with Bush--and then always conveniently run into "roadblocks" that prevent them from doing so.

*um it is racism, he is guilty whether some of you want to own up to it or not. Just because he is black and AG does not give him immunity--the statement was warrantless and based on race, intended to put down all who might criticize. Fact.
