This is really disturbing to me. I bought new sheets, a comforter, and soft

blanket for my bed a week ago? I live in an apartment, don't have washer/dryer hookups, and the previous sheet had torn in half, so I put the new stuff on without washing it first. (something I was loathe to do, but did anyway - hey what are the chances anything bad is lurking in my new sheets, lol)

Anyhoo - fast forward to today while making my bed I find this bug. Well not the bug but looks like the bug's skin that had been shed. It was unusual looking so I investigated on the internet and I think it is molted bed bug skin! Now I am completely freaking out.

So to calm myself somewhat I have come up with a few scenarios. The first is that the bed bug died somewhere in the store I bought the bedding at, and its carcass has been there but it's harmless.

The second is that one of my cats ate the bed bug so it is gone.

The third is that because I take medicine for ADHD the bed bug fed on me then died from the medication in my blood.

So um are any of these feasible? Or am I doomed with lots of hidden bloodsuckers lurking about?

If you have bed bugs they probably didn't come with the new sheets. Here are some sites that tell you how to get rid of them:

Bedbugs are harmless. Don't worry about, and they wont die from feeding off of you, ADHD meds like strattera, adderall, and ritalin wont affect any insect. Just pull off everything on your bed and wash it at a laundromat. clean the area around your bed and you should be fine.

Hope this helped a bit.

let start with the name BED BUGS - not sheet bugs - bed bugs are to small for your cat to eat - if it was feeding off you their would possibly more than one - now bed bugs live in the material of mattresses - so if you can not afford to get another one now buy yourself a plastic mattress cover - hopefully one that the entire mattress fits into like a bag and put that on unless you want to be the local buffet
