This is kind of dumb

OK so I paid my washer and dryer bill with a post dated check because it was the only chance I had to swing by the place. I even wrote on the line "do not cash before aug. 3" and they cashed it aug. 1 and now my account has an NFS charge, which isn't a big deal because its only 35 dollars, but I can find better uses of 35 dollars than just giving it to the bank because the morons at the appliance store are morons.

Yeah, and 35$ is 7 gallons of milk or 10 cartons of eggs, or 20 pounds of hamburger. Dumbasses, I'm calling them in the morning and throwing a hissy fit. I didn't know about it until today cuz I didn't check my bank account until today, and obviously it was less than it was supposed to be. Stupid heads! I want my 35$!

;801195']DG, you can't do that shit with checks. When they see a 'float note' on them, they will cash them so that they can get that penalty fee from you.

;801200']It is better if you owe a bill and call them first- tell them you have a pay problem and can send them a percentage of the payment. That can sometimes stave off the late fees. Then in a couple of days send the rest. Trust me. I've done some crazy shit with my finances.

The 15$ late fee, since the bill was due July 15 and would have accumulated on Aug. 1, was actually way the hell less than the NSF charge, lol. Next time, I will remember that.

;801211']They only reason my credit is on the 'shit' level instead of the 'Hiroshima 1945' level is because when I am strapped I pay the bare minimum and let them know ahead of time. As long as they see that you recognize the debt, they can work with you.

Well, this is somewhat of a gamble, but leave a disturbing scent or fluid on the check. That will make them cash it really fast..or never
