this is for a true mechanic, why is my alternator putting out 34.9 amps?

1999 Chry. 300.? Ive replaced the alternator. its blown a fuse able link already.
 
i'm sure you must mean volts not amps because it should put out between 60 and 150amps depending on the alt. the voltage should be 13-18 volts depending on draw. if it's putting out 35 volts the voltage regulator is fried if it's internal one take the alternator back. if it's external replace the regulator.
