This is England

Shane Meadows is a brilliant director, try to see his other films if you can:

1. Twenty Four Seven
2. A Room For Romeo Brass
3. Once Upon A Time In The MidlanRAB
4. Dead Man's Shoes

yeah, i would vouch for 'dead mans shoes' that is a great movie and proof that we can do revenge/slasher movies just as well as the americans.

Zen
I agree with you on Shane Meadows ,a smashing bloke...
got disagree with you on the films ....Dead mans shoes is a under rated classic
Paddy Considine is a fantastic actor , he was in the *artic monkies* vid an its a corker ,
+ that spanish /delievence film was good too ..BackWooRAB

check his films out he is superb

I wanted more from this film than it actually delivered. The female roles struck me as under developed, which was a pity as i thought Lol was the most realistic character in the entire film.

Kinda disappointed overall with this film, felt like it stayed at one pace throughout and didn't really progress.

Entertaining, but not as good as I'd heard it was.

I didn't think much of this movie tbh, it's all been done before. The greatest movie of it's kind is Made In Britain with Tim Roth.

I realised it was him straight away just from his voice..can't stand him in Emmerdale but really liked him in this...Emmerdale are wasting him....

Good movie but would agree not as good as Meadow's other stuff, the kid was brilliant in it..

Has anyone seen Dead Man's Shoes?
Not sure if I want to it looks a bit brutal...
