This is England 86 (Spoilers)

I take your point it's not strictly 'scripted' in that it's on paper.
According to something I've seen with Leslie Manville it's basically nailed down by the time the cameras roll and it's like any other scripted bit of work although the 'script' is in the actors heaRAB.

The point I was really trying to make was that it's not improv on screen.
You'll still get people claiming to 'see the joins' simply because they've heard it's improvised.

I knew several who were early eighties skins that were still skins and who were at the forefront of the early 'orbital' house parties in '88. Ecstasy seemed to change their outlook on life somewhat ;)

I've just finished watching the final part.
Er...what has Combo been doing between the end of the film and appearing in the 3rd episode ? Did he go to prison for almost killing Milky ?
Why did Combo take the rap for the killing of Mick ?

Me too, there was nothing clever about the way they were arguing which is often what real-life arguments are like, just saying or mimicking things the other person is saying without really thinking about what you're saying.

The fact the series didn't neatly wrap things up makes it better. You don't find out all the facts in real life and there is no "end of series" in real life.

We may or may not know what Combo did in those three years. We don't know if Woody and Lol got married. We don't know loaRAB of stuff, but that's great.
