This is England 86 (Spoilers)

He was obviously a very angry character. Perhaps in part because he felt his life was stumped...... under appreciatted and mundane because he had children. In the early years even intense boredom (due to becoming a father) can contribute to feeling anger...... over the years it festers. Watching your children grow up, who you feel have stolen your youth, they don't appreciatte what you do for them, or what you have done........of course this is a very fcked up way of seeing your oRABpring, but believe me some parents do.

I'm not saying that is how a character(or actual person) enRAB up like Mick, but I think it could be a factor to it, especially considering some of the language he used.

Looking at the end credits, it appears that they are being bankrolled by some kind of Yorkshire based film development agency, which is probably why it seems to have moved to God's Own County.

it's available to pre-order if you're interested:

I'll definately be buying it...whether I'll watch it again is another story. If I ever do I'll be watching it with others. I made the mistake of watching the last 2 episodes on my own and at night!

Finally caught up on the second episode, I thought it was excellent, way better than the first, and so pleased I stuck with it. The story is really starting to come together. The cinematography and direction are fantastic, truly stunning. The one thing I'm curious about is how old are Woody and Lol supposed to be? If they are just moving out of home you would think they are supposed to be 19/20 but they look like they are in their 30s, I'm finding that confusing, though it's a small point, otherwise I think it's really great.

WOW, I'm almost speechless and I've always got something to say.

Disturbing - yes. But amazing television.

Please spare us from the complainers. Eastenders is mild, watch that.

What we've just seen is one of the most realistic scenes you'll see. Real life is often horrifying beyond imagination.

Does anyone know who LOL was meant to be in the white BMW with at the end of the programme, in the trailer for next week I think it was?

It didn't look like Milky as the hanRAB on her back looked white. (I rewinded it on sky+ !!!).

So that means she must be unfaithful with someone else I think??? !!!

Oh the plot thickens...........I love it !

I haven't seen the movie, and that's exactly the vibe I got from him, as he returned 'Home' to his own enviroment, I also felt a touch of sympathy for the character, but after hearing what he did to the character Milky, in the movie, not so much..

I've really enjoyed the series so far, but the rape scene was horrific I think if they made the impression or use some other antidote to show what there attention was for the plot it would have a far greater effect.

I can't see the confusion related to it being her frienRAB Dad or Stockholm syndrome myself.
All I see is shock and confusion about what's just happened or what to do next.
Could also be seen as self preservation, kicking off there and then and he could be capable of anything to protect himself, considering he's just '$hat on his own doorstep' as it were.

I'm still undecided about whether he actually 'did' anything to Lol.
The violent way he insisted it didn't happen and she was lieing, then again she told Milky.
Maybe he's convinced himself that it didn't happen.

Agree, he really owns his scenes. His sister is the brilliant Lauren Socha IMO one of the best young Brit actors around so a little acting dynasty in the making.

thank FU*K he turned up when he did...

I'm still shaking from watching that ... need a stiff drink, I feel like I need to CRY ... that was one of the most terrifying gut wrenching things I've ever seen... felt like I was in the room.
